To the Western Wall

People are arriving from the road on the right side. In the center of the picture, the bridge leading to the Mughrabi gate and to the mosques. Under the bridge, a sign indicates an archaeological dig. The Western wall is part of what remains of the surrounding walls of the Temple, destroyed in 69 by Titus. It goes on underground deep inside the moslem quarter.

Shalom! Great picture. I have enjoyed looking through your blog photos. I hope to visit Israel someday. My father-in-law led a tour there. Kind regards from EAGAN daily photo in Minnesota, USA
