Working on the tramway


The main street of Jerusalem is under construction from last august, and there are no signs the situation will improve in the near future. I really can't understand the purpose of the big, ugly wall being erected on the other side of the street in front of the existing buildings.

Long time I've been there, as main street you mean Jaffa Road?

That wall is awful! Maybe it won't be permanent. I suppose it is to block noise and perhaps block those with violent intent, but it sure is ugly!
