Western Wall

The plants growing between the stones are capers. People coming to the Western Wall (of the Second Temple - destroyed 70 CE) generally put papers with prayers inside the cracks of the stones.

Very interesting photo. I love the texture of the stone as a backdrop for the lacy foliage. I am presuming these plants are growing from between the cracks? Fascinating.

Very interesting photo. I especially like the texture of the stones against the lacy quality of the plants. So they are growing out of the cracks in the wall? Fascinating.

An important image for you. I gather that the vegetation is fortuitous. A beautifully stark image.
