Hi Esther,

The bees are back in Brookville, Ohio. I hope for the rest of the year at least. I even got one on my Better Blog Writing post today. LOL

I see you found an adorable No sign for our July Theme Day. No sure what it says but think it means no to or about something. LOL

Isn't it almost funny to think of adult people scurrying around their communities taking pictures of signs. And if somebody had asked what that is all about and you said a sign with "no" on it, they might... well. It is kind of funny.

"Under the age of 9! - why nine?

This is a good choice for the theme. It looks like it is on fabric and not many of them are today.

the school of life.
Shouldn't they forbid to cross that road then for any age? :)

Which kind of assumes the under-9 children can read.

Seems like good advice for children. Nice photo!

Happy Theme Day!

Probably a good idea! Nice find! Was it at a school?

Abraham - absolutely right.
I searched a lot trying to find the right sign and then I remembered seeing this one.
Julie - under the age of nine. It only assumes that aboce the age of nine a child can cross roads alone...
Hyde dp - Children learn to read at age 6. They certainly should be able to read this sign from second grade.
Kelly - You're right. The sign is before a school.
The sign is especially ironic for me. My children went to this school for three years, (ages 8-11 and 6-9). At the time the counsellor talked very seriously with me, saying I should give more independence to the children by letting them go alone to school, instead of accompanying them. Very sound educational principles, you see. Of course, I didn't listen to the advice, there was too much traffic on the roads between the home and the school.
I somehow felt vindicated when seeing this sign on the fence of the school.

I like the name of the school. Also, I like the idea of giving children some independence as long as it is safe.

Wow, one of the most unique NO signs in our theme day offerings today! Great one to share. And, I'm in line with your decision about accompanying the kids to school in your city. Yes, we want kids to gain a sense of independence and a feeling of comfort with their own abilities and decision making, but walking alone in JERUSALEM? Hmmm.

Esther, I'm glad someone decided you were right if the traffic is hazardous. I hope no one was hurt proving it!
