Inside the monastery

I went to visit a friend who was lodging there. A very quiet place, very big also and the part open to the visitors is really a small part of the whole complex.

Flags of the Vatican in Jerusalem

The Pope has arrived in Jerusalem. The flags of the Vatican are all around Jerusalem. But for us his visit is another traffic nightmare. The road where I live will be emptied of all vehicles tuesday night. No parking is allowed on my street on wednesday, and a whole neighborhood will be completely shut down on that date between 6-9 am and 4-8 pm.

Victory Day Parade in Downtown Jerusalem

Hasmonean Tomb

Dedicated to "Yasson" (Jason), the tomb was probably used till the time of Herod's rule. It is tucked away between the houses of the Rehavia neighborhood.
